Dr Imran Samad is a Canadian and American board-certified Otolaryngologist who has been practicing in the lower mainland since 1994. He did his residency training at UBC (’93) and fellowship training in pediatrics and sinus surgery at Johns Hopkins University (’94). He accepts referrals for all ears, nose and throat related consultations, and has particular interest in sinus and thyroid disease, along with head and neck masses. His hospital privileges are based out of Burnaby Hospital, where he operates weekly. Outside of medicine, Dr Samad enjoys international travels and playing golf. 
Dr. Idris Samad is a Canadian Otolaryngologist who sees and treats patients with medical and surgical diseases of the ears, nose, throat and neck. He was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and completed his medical training in Dublin, Ireland at the Royal College of Surgeons (14’). Specialist residency training in Otolaryngology (Ears, Nose and Throat) was completed at University of Ottawa (21’) and Laryngology fellowship training at Stanford University (22’). Idris has extensive training in disease of the larynx (voice box) and welcomes all patients with voice, breathing or swallowing disorders, related to the head and neck. When not in the office, he enjoys travelling, being outdoors and spending time with family. He is an avid golfer who is always looking to improve his game.

Our Services:

EAR, NOSE & THROAT

for adults and children

  • Ear:  Hearing impairment, ear discharge, tympanic membrane perforation are a few of the ear disorders treated by Dr. Samad.

  • Nose & Mouth: Chronic sinusitus, cancer of the sinuses or mouth, septal deviation or traumatic cosmetic deformity of the nose are just a few of the different health problems that occur in this region of the body. Dr. Samad specializes in endoscopic sinus surgery and septorhinoplasty. 

  • Throat: Cancer, voice disorders and even hoarseness all interfere with our ability to communicate. Many of these conditions can be improved or corrected or caught early in the case of cancers. 

  • Head & Neck Surgery:         Dr. Samad specializes in the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck, including thyroid, parotid, submandibular and congenital cysts of the neck.

  • Disease of the Larynx:    Dr Idris has extensive training in disease of the larynx (voice box) and welcomes all patients with voice, breathing or swallowing disorders, related to the head and neck
